This sales policy is to bring common understanding to the transaction of all animals as well as to protect the interests of buyer and seller:

1. We refuse the right to sell to anyone for any reason. This is to make sure the rabbit is going to a good home. If you are purchasing a meat rabbit (or for fur), you must demonstrate knowledge of how to humanely dispatch a rabbit OR want to learn. A buyer less than 18 years of age must be accompanied by a parent/guardian at the time of purchase and pick up/delivery.

2. Rabbits can be put on hold for a 50% non-refundable* deposit via paypal, money order, or cash. Maximum hold on a rabbit is 14 days UNLESS the rabbit is not yet weaned or prior arrangements have been made. In that case we will hold the rabbit until 7 days after it is weaned. Held rabbits will remain on the website as ‘On Hold’. If the rabbit is not picked up within the 14 day period (or weaning period + 7 days), buyer forfeits the deposit unless prior arrangements have been agreed to by Ona Whim Rabbitry.



*If you cancel the sale, your deposit will not be refunded. If for any reason we need to cancel the sale, we WILL refund you your deposit or arrange for another animal to sold to you.

Rabbits will be picked up at a designated spot, at a show, or delivered. At this time, Ona Whim Rabbitry is a closed facility.

3. Rabbits must be identified on all official documents, pedigrees, and in all shows with the tattoo that has been assigned to them. If the tattoo needs to be touched up, it must remain the same as the original tattoo. They must be shown as Ona Whim's (name of rabbit). For example:
Ear Number: W15
Name: Ona Whim's Rose's Fern

4. Rabbits will be sold to you in good health. In case of unexpected death within the first 2 days, a letter from a licensed veterinarian stating cause of death must be submitted to Ona Whim Rabbitry within 3 days of the death in order to secure a replacement rabbit of equal value or a refund. No refund or replacement will be given if death is due to stress, animal attack, neglect, injury, or other cause that is not directly related to the rabbits health prior to the sale. If you notice your rabbit is ill, contact us IMMEDIATELY.

5. The rabbit transfers ownership the moment it leaves our hands. We are not responsible for the rabbit in transportation (unless we are hand delivering it by car or at a show). Nor are we responsible for the ongoing health of the rabbit when it is in your care.

6. All rabbits come with transitional feed. Brood and show grade rabbits come with pedigree and ear tattoo. Pet grade rabbits also come with a tattoo so they can be identified if lost.  Rabbits must be transported by owner and therefore, buyer may not send another person for delivery of rabbit. Exceptions to this can be made if suitable transportation is aquired prior to delivery from us. We always love to know how our stock is progressing, so feel free to contact us with updates at any time as they grow.

7. Rabbits success in shows and fairs is not guaranteed. Rabbits’ production and growth are not guaranteed. No breeder can promise anything because so much of it is dependent upon how YOU care for your rabbit.

8. Payment must be made in full by the time of pickup/delivery. At this time payment may be made with Paypal or cash only. If the rabbit is NOT picked up within two weeks of purchase, or other arrangements have not been made,  the payment will be forfeit and the rabbit will be relisted for sale on the website. ***Discounts: Discounts will be given if 3 or more animals are purchased at the same time. Discounts also given to active 4H members with membership card AND project plan. Discounts cannot be combined.
